# Jeffrey V. Johnson, Ph.D.

**Building infrastructure for model evaluation and agent systems**

I build software and development infrastructure for reliable agent-assisted
work. My focus is clear specifications, explicit permissions, reproducible
environments, automated checks, and evidence that can be reviewed. I use that
infrastructure to build applications, data pipelines, evaluation systems, and
developer tools.

I am a tenured associate professor of mathematics with a Ph.D. from the
University of Montana. That work supports the engineering through abstraction,
statistical discipline, patience with difficult systems, and clear technical
communication.

## The 20-second version

- **Host Capability Substrate:** turns host capabilities, execution contexts,
  evidence, approvals, leases, audits, and authorization into typed contracts.
- **Governance and agent-control architecture:** connects specifications,
  bounded authority, reproducible environments, deterministic gates, and safe
  handbacks across repositories and runtimes.
- **Agentic Architecture Audit:** checks agent-built systems against their own
  specifications through evidence-first discovery and deterministic drift tests.

Budget Triage, ScopeCam, a private data-cleaning pipeline, the Agentic-Coding
Evaluation Lab, and delivered applications are proving grounds for that
foundation. Agent tools are instruments inside the system, not the source of
quality.
